Milli Vanilli all over again

Very excited to see Mannheim since we were taking a number of guests who had never heard them. Imagine our disappointment to discover that we could have simply given them the CD and they would have heard exactly what they heard in concert. Yes the drummer was actually playing but a number of the instruments heard in the concert and all of the vocals were pre-recorded since there was no one onstage either playing or singing those parts. Very embarrassed to have talked them up, spend lots of money to buy excellent seats and then get the Milli Vanilli experience. I would have rather heard an actual vocalist or a different song list and known that it wasn't the instrumental version of lip synching.
